Sinister Partnerships In The Name Of Women’s Rights

There is a booming new leftist movement going on these days whereby more and more women’s groups claim to be fighting for empowerment and women’s rights.

But the rights they are so keen to protect are the same ones that are killing future generations of women through abortion and are mocking women who hold traditional views.

Now one women’s organization has started a new campaign in the name of women – and their agenda is sickening and ironic.

The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) was approved by the NBA’s Board of Governors in 1996 as a way to give women a foothold in professional sports.

Their new “Take A Seat, Take A Stand” campaign aims to raise money for “women’s causes” by donating a portion of their ticket sales to advocacy groups.  The WNBA site announced their campaign to give $5 from every ticket sale to “charity.”

The Daily Wire reported:

The chronically low number of fans who purchase tickets will “have the chance to support several organizations that are changing the game for women and girls,” including abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood, which aborts thousands of girls out of existence every year.

The organization selected will be given $5 for every ticket purchased. And just to show how truly left-wing this “charity” push actually is, the WNBA announced the program on Twitter along with video from the Women’s March.

“This season, your tickets support more than women’s basketball,” the video stressed. “It supports women.”

“For 22 years, the WNBA and its players – women playing at the highest level of their sport – have stood up as role models for millions of women and girls,” [President Lisa] Borders said. “We are proud to come together as a league to stand with our partner organizations, our fans and the many inspiring women raising their voices for change in the current women’s movement.”

Far from a humble or generous gesture, the list of organizations for the fans to choose from are all of the left’s pet causes.

It will come as no surprise that Planned Parenthood is included in the list.  The abortion giant is the number one ally of the left in their radical takeover of traditional values.

With hundreds of thousands of unborn children murdered in their clinics each year, and rabid support for sexual experimentation and contraception for minors, the very notion that they help women is offensive.

Another of the organizations for fans to choose from is GLSEN (Glisten).  Their website proudly states that they have been “Championing LGBT Issues In K-12 Since 1990.”

That’s right – K-12 – indoctrinating our minor children with the transgender and homosexual agenda and encouraging sexual experimentation.  (Also advertised on their site: You can purchase a “Safe Space” kit, teaching you how to protect yourself if you are ever “offended.”)

And then there’s United State of Women, “a national organization for any woman who sees that we need a different America for all women to survive and thrive,” according to their site.

It comes as no surprise that USOW partners with a wealth of leftist companies like Disney, Netflix, the ACLU, and — you guessed it — Planned Parenthood.

While the other organizations on the list claim to be advocates for breast cancer research, sexual assault, and equality, they are all propaganda machines for leftist ideology.

Just as some NFL players sparked national controversy for protests against the National Anthem, the WNBA is bringing politics to the athletic arena — and they are greasing the palms of these leftist pet groups, not to help women, but to further the progressive agenda.

To show just how deeply this parasitic relationship goes, another WNBA team announced last year that they were partnering long-term with the abortion giant.

The New York Times reported in June, 2017:

The W.N.B.A.’s Seattle Storm announced on Thursday that they were wading into the current political climate in a way that contrasts with the practices of many other sports teams: a partnership with Planned Parenthood.

The ownership group of the Storm, Force 10, is planning a “Stand With Planned Parenthood”…along with continuing efforts to aid fund-raising for Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands. The Storm, one of the few professional teams owned by women, will also host a fund-raising auction.

Dawn Trudeau, a co-owner of the team, said she had been frustrated by her inability to “make a meaningful impact on the national health care debate.”

“Obviously, we are progressives, so throughout this year we’ve had conversations about what was going on in the country, and what we might as individuals might do about it,” Trudeau said in a phone interview, regarding conversations she had with her partners.

And, of course, Planned Parenthood is gushing over receiving more money from hard-working Americans who just want to enjoy a game.

Breitbart News released Planned Parenthood’s statement of thanks to the WNBA:

“We’re so grateful the WNBA is standing up for the 2.4 million patients who rely on Planned Parenthood and supporting issues that affect the health, well-being, and success of women and girls,” said Dawn Laguens, Executive Vice President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. “Players have used their platforms to bring attention to inequality and, through ‘Take a Seat, Take a Stand,’ the WNBA is giving fans an opportunity to join them in the fight for social change.”

It is obvious that the WNBA is trying to be an organizing arm for the left by disguising their efforts as charitable work.

But all of these organizations work together in a vicious circle to eradicate the values that our country was founded on, and to create the next generation of progressive women in their image by focusing on “empowerment for girls.”

But with Planned Parenthood at the helm — and in fact a partner of many of the other organizations participating in the “Take A Seat, Take A Stand” campaign — hundreds of thousands of unborn girls will be lost to abortion.

It is apparently of no concern to the WNBA or any of these left-wing organizations that the voices of these girls killed in the womb will never be heard, nor their potential ever be realized.

What do you think of this sickening left-wing campaign for so-called “women’s empowerment?”  Will you boycott the WNBA?  Leave us your comments.
