Pro-life activist Mary Wagner is facing up to 18 months in jail, but the bizarre reason she is facing jail time will shock you.
Her crime?
Trying to persuade women at an abortion clinic not to go through with their abortion.
Like most other pro-life activists, Mary Wagner is not a violent criminal. She didn’t make threats or act aggressively.
She was simply trying to save the lives of babies, and now she may spend time in jail because of it.
Unfortunately, pro-choice advocates are determined to silence the pro-life voice, by any means necessary.
Even going so far as to lock up innocent and peaceful protesters.
Abortion clinics commit criminal offenses all the time such as giving abortions to minors.
But Mary Wagner argued in court their greatest crime of all is killing an unborn baby.
Sadly, this isn’t the first time Wagner may end up behind bars.
She’s already spent a total of five years in jail, simply for trying to persuade young mothers to choose life.
Typically, at court, Mary remains silent in an attempt to show solidarity with the unborn.
But this time, Mary isn’t going down without a fight.
The judge told her she is free to collect letters from folks testifying on behalf of her character.
However, still holding true to her gentle spirit, not only is Mary seeking reference letters supporting her character, she also plans to collect letters from other pro-lifers showing support for unborn children.
LifeSiteNews reported:
“I intend to seek some reference letters, not just for my own character but in support of the unborn,” Wagner told LifeSiteNews.
She wants to “open it up to the larger community” to submit letters “that can speak to the fact that it’s not just one person in court, one person, so to speak, breaking the law, but many people who support justice for the unborn.”
Mary believes all lives matter, so deeply, she’s willing to spend more time in jail, even if only one life is saved.
Abortion centers don’t provide alternatives to women. Many women who come in pregnant are scared and fearful and don’t know where to turn.
Mary wanted to take the chance to let these women know, abortion isn’t the only way, and that there are other options.

“In delivering his verdict on Tuesday, Libman said Wagner testified on her own behalf that she wanted to offer alternatives to abortion to women in the abortion centre.
“She wished to reach out in love, support them,” and let them know they would have help if they brought a child into the world, Libman related.
“In her thoughtful comments to me,” Wagner pointed out the Crown’s argument that she was interfering with a business presupposed the abortion center was a “legitimate business,” added the trial judge.
“However, in her view,” the business of the abortion facility “is to take the life of an unborn child,” and “there can be no greater injustice than that.”
Wagner also “believed she was upholding the law in the manner in which she acted,” Libman said.
She referred to Thomas Aquinas — a 12th-century philosopher and doctor of the Catholic Church — who stated “if a law is unjust, it is not a law,” Libman noted. “What could be more unjust, in her view, than an attack on a helpless human being?”
What kind of world do we live in, if we applaud those who take lives, while prosecute those who try and protect them?
Conservative women need to work together to elect pro-life legislators, who will pass legislation outlawing abortion once and for all.
And a peaceful pro-life activist should not be thrown in jail for encouraging mothers to choose life.
