Another Family Suffers Tragedy At The Hands Of Socialized Medical System

One of the progressive views that the left rabidly defends is the “right” to abortion-on-demand.

They have no value for life, and this ideology has spread on a global scale, with abortion numbers skyrocketing all over the world.

In shocking news from the U.K. – one of the worst nations to put profit above life – one mother shares tragedy at the hands of the government.

Sophia Khan of Lancashire was excited to find that she and her husband were expecting their second little boy.

She couldn’t wait to see her firstborn as a big brother, and she and her husband looked forward to expanding their family.

And that’s where their hope for the future came to a screeching halt.

At a prenatal checkup, Khan and her husband were given some devastating news.

Doctors informed the couple that their son had a severe form of spina bifida, a birth defect where there is incomplete closing of the backbone and membranes around the spinal cord.

But what happened next set in motion a tragedy that could have been avoided had it not been for physicians violating their oath to preserve and protect life.

Spina bifida can range from mild to severe, but even in severe cases, there are several treatment options, including in-utero or post-delivery surgery.

And while there is no cure, even in serious cases, these surgeries, physical therapies, and medication can help children affected by the disorder to lead full lives.

Khan, however, was not encouraged to do anything to save her child’s life.  The medical option presented to her?  Physicians gave the child no chance and pushed abortion – at 25 weeks of pregnancy.

At this point in a pregnancy, children can survive if born prematurely with medical intervention.

And Khan was not showing any signs that she would deliver early.  It appears doctors in the U.K. didn’t want to consider surgical options or give the little boy a chance to live.

The U.K. government allows abortion after 24 weeks in the case of “disability.”

She traveled to St. Mary’s Hospital, a part of the National Health Services Foundation Trust – the government-run healthcare system of the U.K. – to have the abortion with a heavy heart.

After the procedure, which physicians say “went smoothly,” Khan had a strange feeling.

She felt a wriggling sensation in her stomach hours after the lethal injection to stop her son’s heart was administered.

A midwife told her it was “impossible,” but Khan delivered little Mohammad ten hours later.

He was alive and crying when nurses ran screaming for help.

Physicians dared to ask Khan “what they wanted her to do,” and after the shock and heartbreaking emotions, Khan held her son as he fought to live, dying an hour after birth.

Doctors made no attempt to perform surgery or continue life-saving measures so they could come up with treatment options.

This child fought to live twice, and twice, they suggested death for an innocent boy.

According to The Sun, Khan stated,

“I thought I was going mad. I thought I was hearing the cry because that’s what I wanted – my baby to be alive.

I think his birth and death were so much more traumatic because I just wasn’t prepared for it – nobody was. Nobody had listened to me when I said I felt him kicking. Nobody believed me.

And so the shock and the loss I felt were so much more powerful and I don’t think that will ever leave me. I think about my little boy every day.”

Khan and her husband suffered another slap in the face by U.K. Health Services officials when her son’s cause of death was officially listed as “natural causes.”

“Natural causes” after having his heart injected with chemicals to stop it from beating.

“Natural causes” after they refused to step in and even try to prolong the child’s life until specialists could be consulted.

This is nothing new for the doctors and staff of the U.K.’s government-run healthcare system.

From Charlie Gard to Alfie Evans, and in line with the global agenda to eradicate children with disabilities, everyone from the doctors to the U.K.’s High Court have struck down the attempts of families to save loved-ones’ lives so they could preserve profits.

Professor John Wyatt, speaking at the 2017 Spina Bifida National Conference said that through his many years of experience in caring for severely ill children that the outcomes for parents who choose to give birth to a baby with a life-limiting condition and receive palliative care are better than those who abort,” according to LifeSite News.

But doctors in the U.K. are defending their decision to push for “compassionate termination” of Sophia Khan’s pregnancy and not look for other options to assist little Mohammed.

A neonatal consultant also stated that the Khans’ decision to abort was “correct” and “brave,” although it doesn’t appear the parents were given any other options for care.

The U.K. will continue to bully families and supersede their God-given rights to protect not only their children but other severely ill family members.

This progressive culture of death is a global one, and the U.S. is gradually jumping on the bandwagon.

How long will it be before the government decides who lives and who dies in the U.S.?

Not long if we do not fight to turn back to traditional values and respect life for all citizens.

What do you think of this tragic story, and the push by U.K. doctors to abort Mohammed at 25 weeks instead of looking for other possible treatment options?  Leave us your comments.
