The holiday season is quickly approaching us with all its glitz and glory.

And while it’s the most wonderful time of the year, many moms struggle with keeping up the healthy eating habits they’ve established early in the year.

But if you’re wondering how to keep your child healthy with all the tempting delicious food available on demand, relax, we’ve got you covered!

If you’re like most moms, you still have piles of Halloween candy your children are feasting on.

And after the sugar-high your child endures from bottomless pits of suckers, chocolate, and skittles, we roll right into Thanksgiving, otherwise known as a carb-feast!

So what’s a mom to do?

If you think letting your child eat whatever they want is ok, there are sobering reminders about the danger of feasting on unhealthy food.

WLNS reported:

“Eating things that aren’t super healthy for us things that are full of sodium full of sugar, full of especially saturated in trans fats, can lead to a slew of chronic illnesses as adults. You’re looking at diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancers as well as obesity and so if we can teach kids now to make healthy choices, it becomes a lot less difficult as adults to make those healthy decisions,” says Extension Community Nutrition Instructor at MSU Extension, Paige Utterback.”
