During Holiday Madness, Make Sure Your Child’s Lunch Makes The Cut

  1. Leftovers Done Right:

You are bound to have a fridge full of leftovers this holiday season!

And let’s be honest, much of it is probably not the healthiest.

It’s okay to use leftovers for your child’s lunch, but focus more on serving larger portions of the healthier items such as turkey, green beans, and other fruits or veggies.

As a treat, you can throw in a gluten-free brownie or another fun sweet treat, but don’t make it the focus of the lunch.

And if possible, try and avoid loading up on heavy carbs such as potatoes, breads, and other starch items.

These foods will load down your child, and eventually turn into sugar as your child digests them.
