A couple recently adopted a newborn baby and were nervous to board the flight.
Flying with children is complicated enough – and with a newborn baby, things can be even more challenging.
But once the flight crew found out why the family was flying with such a young baby – everything changed.
In fact, as soon as they learned the couple had just adopted this sweet baby girl, they decided to give the couple an experience of a lifetime to celebrate the beauty of adoption.
According to Scary Mommy, once the flight crew spread the word to each other about the couple flying with their newly adopted baby, they quickly sprung into action.
Instead of just going back to serving beverages and snacks, the flight crew was so moved to be part of the experience they wanted to give back.
To start, they announced the adoption over the speaker, causing the entire plane to applaud and congratulate the couple.
But they didn’t stop there!
Even more touching, the flight crew handed out napkins and pens, encouraging passengers to write notes of encouragement to the new couple.
And instead of crumpling up the napkins and throwing them away or not caring about welcoming the new baby – passengers actually took the time to write words to the new couple!
Imagine the touching act of love – complete strangers rejoicing with new parents and taking just a brief moment to write out encouraging words.
As it turns out the new parents had been trying to conceive for 9 years, and this was their first baby!
The notes meant so much to them and were such a source of encouragement, they decided to keep them all and made a scrapbook, letting their daughter know how much she was loved by complete strangers.
With so many horror stories of rogue flight attendants, it’s touching to see this crew went above and beyond the call of duty to make this couple feel special.
Adoption is a beautiful and selfless act of love that can unite and move hearts all over the world.
After all, who could not fall in love with the fact of knowing a child will have a safe place to rest their head and experience the warmth of a loving family.
It takes just a moment to do a random (or planned) act of kindness for others.
Being aware of your environment and sensitive to the needs of those around you is all it takes.
The flight crew could have ignored the new couple or said a simple “congratulations” and gone about their day.
Instead, they used their power to truly make a difference in the lives of these two parents.
