How To Be There For Friends In Need, Even When It’s Uncomfortable

  1. Be Present

The phrase “a shoulder to lean on” is popular for a reason. When we are sad or disheartened, we don’t always want someone to tell us how we should live our life.

It’s often much more encouraging just to have a friend who will hear us out, without judgement, and be in close proximity to let us know that we are not alone.

Lend an ear first to the friend in need, and see if they ask for additional support, and then you can take it from there.
