Life begins at conception.
For decades, pro-lifers across the world have fought to advocate for this truth despite fierce opposition.
And now, pro-lifers rejoice in a massive victory to celebrate this piece of legislation which is on its way to protect unborn babies.
There is nothing more beautiful than a mother holding her newborn baby.
Tragically, many babies are slain at the hands of cruel abortionists and never get the chance to be born.
Pro-aborts try and spin the false notion that a baby isn’t a real life.
And in a desperate attempt to persuade young women to get abortions, they pump up abortion as a “women’s rights” issue, despite the fact that abortion hurts both the mother and her baby.
But in Ohio, a piece of legislation changed everything.
The heartbeat bill passed the Republican House and is on its way up the chain to continue an amazing pro-life precedent.
LifeSite News reported:
“House Bill 258 would ban committing an abortion on any preborn baby with a detectable heartbeat, except in cases of a “substantial and irreversible” physical threat to the mother. Any physician that violates the statute would face up to a year in prison. Preborn babies’ hearts finish forming around 7-8 weeks into pregnancy.”
So many pro-life bills have exceptions for babies conceived in rape, but not this bill!
Any “doctor” who performs an abortion (except in irreversible physical threat to the mother) would go to jail.
Wow, talk about a bill with teeth!
But, Ohio isn’t out of the weeds just yet.
The Senate still has to vote, and the Governor needs to give the final approval.
One would think this bill would be an easy pass, but sadly the Governor in Ohio vetoed it when it came before his desk in the past.
Unborn babies are the most vulnerable humans in society. Not able to have a voice, they aren’t able to advocate and fight for themselves.
Which is why conservatives must come together and speak up for life!
Other states agree and have taken the battle to fight for unborn babies.
LifeSite News continued:
“Currently, the strongest state-level protections for preborn babies are Iowa’s heartbeat abortion ban and Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban, both of which are currently tied up in the courts. The Ohio measure is all-but-certain to face a similar legal challenge, but several pro-lifers, such as Rep. Steve King of Iowa, argue that now is the time to press such a legal battle.”
