Mom Tried To Abort Him, But He Wasn’t Ready To Die

Abortions are a horrendous act, where various procedures are capable of mangling the baby’s tiny body before leaving them in their final resting place.

On more than one account, the infant has survived the gruesome attacks, leaving pro-death advocates with another moral quandary with their actions injuring a perfectly healthy infant.

For one Indiana boy, abortion tried to steal his life, but his tenacious spirit and yearning for life helped him to survive the unthinkable.

Nik Hoot is not just any young man, he is an amazing athlete, making a name for himself as a successful high school wrestler.

The way he confronts an opponent with precision and skill, you would think that it doesn’t hinder him at all to have parts missing from both legs, and doesn’t have a set of fully developed fingers.

The Indiana teenager has humble beginnings, as his biological parents in Russia tried to abort him to no avail.

It is unfathomable to allow someone to attempt to kill your baby, fail, and then watch the infant in pain from a torturous procedure be whisked away.

How can you trust medical professionals who are supposed to pledge to do no harm, but then willingly harm countless children?

After the failed abortion, Nik was put up for adoption in 1996, being almost immediately loved by Marvin and Apryl of Woodburn, Indiana.

The happy parents tell LifeNews about the moment they knew Nik was to be their son:

“We made the decision to adopt him after knowing about him for six weeks on Respect Life Sunday at church when we heard the priest say we have to respect all forms of life, even those with disabilities.”

Ever since that day, Nik has hit the ground running. At the young age of 2, Nik was given his first pair of prosthetic legs, and learned to get around on them in only a couple of days.

Sports seem to be in his blood, because Nik has had his hand at football, baseball, basketball, and wrestling- with that being his highest athletic achievement.

There is nothing that Nik can’t accomplish when he puts his mind to something, which has been an inspiration to young people with disabilities everywhere.

The Hoots have a total of five adopted children, all with birth defects, so Nik has been a role model for all his younger siblings.

One of his siblings wrestle with him on his high school team, the Warriors, while another is a cheerleader.

They are an amazing family, with so much talent under one roof. The sky is the limit for this bunch.

Nik’s mom was kind enough to give LifeNews an update of his progress in all his endeavors:

He had his best wrestling season yet and made it to the Wrestling Semi State championships. Didn’t win the tourney but the kids who make it to Semi State represent the top ten percent of high school wrestlers in the state of Indiana.

He went through marching band season prior to the start of wrestling enduring pressure sores on the bottoms of his stumps.”

Nik is only seventeen, but his mother allowed him to get a tattoo. The artwork is on his chest, and it reads “I can only imagine”, with a rose on each end.

The roses are to represent all the aborted babies, while the phrase is to think about all they could have been if given the chance, according to Nik’s mom.

While the coaches aren’t a “fan” of tattoos, they appreciate what it stands for, and hope that it may help save a child from abortion.

Nik ended his wrestling season with an amazing 24 wins compared to only 11 losses.

There is no doubt that if Nik confronts the rest of life like he does his wrestling career, there will be no stopping him.

We may be hearing of Nik’s younger siblings breaking records next, while chasing their dreams.

Abortions are not brave acts by  progressive women, but a cowardice displays of humanity at it’s worst.

Millions of children did not get the opportunity Nik did after their mother’s tried to have their lives ended.

Nik’s story stands as a testament to the cruel nature of abortions, showing the damage they do.
