Arkansas has three pro-life laws ready to go into effect – but then the unthinkable happened.
A U.S. District Judge, appointed by Obama, decided to block these laws “temporarily” allowing abortions to continue as normal.
But the fight isn’t over yet, and the outcome of this battle is truly life or death.
The new pro-life laws set to go into effect include banning abortions on babies who are at least 18-weeks old, prohibiting doctors to abort babies just because they have Down syndrome, and requiring that those who do perform abortions be certified to do so.
Arguing on behalf of abortion activists, here’s what the pro-abort judge had to say for her ruling:
LifeSite News reported:
“She justified her decision on the grounds that the abortion bans would apply before viability, that they legislate hasn’t “availed itself of alternative, less burdensome means” of reducing Down syndrome abortions, and that the abortion standard requirement supposedly “provides no discernible medical benefit in the light of the realities of abortion care, training, and practice.”
She also ranted on that the pro-life laws were “unconstitutional.”
Of course, those who are in favor of abortion consider it a victory and are “relieved” that women can murder their unborn babies if they have Down syndrome.
The ACLU and Planned Parenthood celebrated the “victory.”
CNN reported:
“Holly Dickson, legal director and interim executive director of the ACLU of Arkansas, said her group was “relieved.”
“Personal medical decisions are just that — personal — and politicians have no business barging into people’s private decisions, shutting down clinics and blocking people from care that they need,” she said.”
Sadly, this isn’t the first time babies with Down syndrome have had a target on their back.
Other counties have all but eliminated babies with Down syndrome from being born.
Even Ireland, a once pro-life country, has jumped on the bandwagon of death.
Here in the United States, it would seem almost unconscionable to think someone would dare choose (and be allowed) to abort a baby just because the baby has Down syndrome.
But the truth is, liberals target babies with special needs even more.
In fact, pro-aborts are determined to keep abortion legal – especially when it comes to being able to kill babies with Down syndrome.
Even doctors have targeted babies with special needs, like the radical doctor who ordered an abortion on a woman just because her baby was going to be born with special needs.
With pro-life victories sweeping the nation, abortion activists will pull out all the stops to keep these laws from going into effect.
We can expect to see more radical judges like the one in Arkansas try to use her power and authority to back abortion giants like Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion clinics.
But pro-lifers, take heart!
There have been many pro-life victories sweeping the nation, which shows the tide is turning.
We haven’t won the war yet, and it is our responsibility to continue to speak out and elect pro-life politicians who will protect the most vulnerable members of society – unborn babies.
