Shameless: You Won’t Believe This Mockery Of Women

The progressive agenda that has infiltrated every aspect of our culture has eroded the family, the sanctity of life, and traditional roles of women.

And sadly, many of the leaders of our time who perpetuate this ideology are women.

Just when we think the propaganda can’t get any more disturbing, another sickening story comes to light.

Such is the case with a recent “award” presented to social political activist Gloria Steinem.

Steinem became a leader of the radical feminist movement in the 1960s and 70s, telling women they were destined for “more” than being wives and mothers.

As if trying to eradicate God’s plan for women wasn’t enough, progressives have twisted all social norms regarding family, sex, and gender.

One of these women is a Lutheran pastor named Nadia Bolz-Weber.

Bolz-Weber is the author of Shameless:  A Sexual Revolution, which has topped best-seller lists while encouraging women to ignore God’s word and interpret Christian teachings to suit their own needs.

She is a self-described former alcoholic and drug addict who rebelled against her traditional Christian upbringing.

In her book, she says she is an outsider who relates to society’s  “underside dwellers . . .cynics, alcoholics and queers.”  She also advocates for the use of “ethically-sourced” pornography.

Not only does she call on Christians to defy tradition and Scripture, but she recently conducted a sickening “art project.”

Bolz-Weber sent out messages on social media for young women to send in their purity rings to be used in this project.

The purity or promise ring movement became popular in the late 1990s to encourage women to abstain from sex until marriage, wearing the rings until they could be replaced by wedding bands.

But as the war against the family rages, even the author of the book that helped to start the purity ring idea, Joshua Harris, has “apologized” for his call for women to remain chaste until marriage.

Twenty years after his book, I Kissed Dating Goodbye, Harris posted on his website, “I gave the impression that there was one formula that you could follow, and if you followed that, you’d be happily married, God would bless you, and you’d have a great sex life and marriage. Obviously, the real world doesn’t work that way,” according to the Christian Post.

Harris has since discontinued the sale of his book.

And because of this sad acceptance and normalization of the progressives’ social agenda, Bolz-Weber was celebrated for her twisted project.

Thousands of women sent her their purity rings.  In turn, they were given a copy of Bolz-Weber’s book, along with a “Certificate of Impurity,” stating “This acknowledges that (your name here) has traded in their purity ring in exchange for this certificate, and in doing so vows to live a SHAMELESS, open, and free life, with love for themselves and their body, knowing that they are already holy,” as reported by RedState.

So what was the resulting “work of art” Bolz-Weber was creating?

Well, she had the purity rings melted down and made into a sculpture of a vagina.

And the recipient of this anti-woman award was given to social progressive leader Gloria Steinem at this year’s Makers Conference.

The Conference started in 2012 and occurs annually to honor “women who make a difference;” i.e. women who defy everything women are supposed to be in God’s eyes.

Of course, conference attendees were thrilled as the women gushed, “Isn’t it amazing?”  The crowd cheered as Bolz-Weber and Steinem hugged over the shameful sculpture.

It is bad enough that progressives mock Christianity, traditional women and families.

Now, this woman calling herself a Christian pastor is making a mockery of the church and every woman who does not conform to the sexual free-for-all that our society has adopted.

There could not be a more concrete example of how far downhill our values have fallen in recent decades than this sickening sculpture.

It is unbelievable that women who want to uphold traditional values and believe in real marriage should be mocked in such a manner by other women.

Nadia Bolz-Weber truly is shameless, as her book title states.

And shame on Gloria Steinem who started women down a road we may never be able to return from.
