Study Reports Some Surprising Findings About Our Nation’s Mothers

The share of stay-at-home moms in poverty has doubled since 1970

It goes without saying that married couples are traditionally the ones who are able to afford to have mom stay at home.  Seventy percent of stay-at-home moms who live in poverty are either single moms, or their husbands are out of work due to illness, disability, being students, or their inability to find employment.
