Sometimes, the smallest act of kindness from a complete stranger can change the entire trajectory of a bad day.
One weary mom experienced this firsthand, when she was feeling overwhelmed and alone.
But because of a simple act of kindness, this mom experienced love from a total stranger, and it changed her life forever.
What’s the one thing moms crave most?
Rest.
From taking care of little ones and maintaining the house, moms do it all.
In fact, moms are so used to multitasking and taking on the world, they often state they don’t have enough hands to do it all!
And that’s exactly what happened to one local mom at the doctor’s office.
This young mom walked in with a tiny sleeping baby in her arms, and was tasked by the doctor’s office with filling out new paperwork.
Not wanting to wake the sleeping baby, this mom was struggling trying to figure out how to do both.
As she struggled and realized she couldn’t do it all, a stranger stepped in.
And this complete stranger volunteered to hold the tiny baby so the mom could complete the paperwork.
One woman witnessed the entire thing, and told of the sweet act of kindness she witnessed.
Parents reported:
“I was in the waiting room at the doc office today and this lady walked in with her sleeping baby!” she wrote alongside the shot. “They handed her paperwork to do & as she was sitting there trying to figure out how to hold her sleeping baby while filling out the paperwork, this man, from across the room, asks her if she would like for him to hold her baby while she did her paperwork!! She smiled and said that would be wonderful!! This man went over there and rocked and loved on that baby like he was his!!”
This simple act of kindness went a long way for this tired mom.
How many times have bystanders looked on while a young mom struggled?
It happens all the time.
Moms are often caught trying to balance groceries and care for little ones in the store, or push a stroller with other toddlers and often get no help.
But this viral story shows there are still good people in this world.
In fact, this story went even deeper, as the woman who witnessed the act was even more touched by the love of this man, and how it transcended racial lines.
Parents continued:
She explained, “For a stranger, a white man at that, asking a young black mother if he could hold her baby to help her out, then the way he loved on that baby like it was his own, it almost puts me to tears every time I think about the love you could see radiate from him for that baby.”
