Just when we think the left could not possibly come up with another absurd assault on our beliefs, they find another way to push the boundaries.
They are constantly on the warpath against our traditional Christian values, our God-given freedoms, and the sanctity of life.
And now, they are at it again with a stunning new demand that is cause for grave concern.
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is but one of many leftist organizations advocating for total and complete acceptance of the LGBTQ agenda by all Americans.
They heap demand upon demand on society and pressure and threaten our legislators to further their agenda.
So it comes as no surprise that GLAAD’s President and CEO, Sarah Kate Ellis, came up with a preposterous idea recently.
She wants to change the Constitution to grant special privileges to homosexuals, transgenders, and other groups, stating that a “constitutional amendment is the only way to safeguard our lives.”
Ellis claims that Congress must amend the Constitution because there is a “lack of federal protections for LGBTQ people.”
She is also using false information to spread the propaganda of the left and to sway all Americans to adopt their radical beliefs.
Ellis states that members of the LGBTQ community can be fired from their jobs in 28 states, and that there are more lenient sentences for people who commit a hate crime or bodily harm against an LGBTQ individual than another citizen.
In spinning her false narrative, Ellis fails to realize that in the states she is referring to, anyone – regardless of their orientation – can be fired from their jobs for a multitude of reasons, and it has nothing to do with sexual or gender discrimination.
She is upset because there is not a specific law on the books in some states that refers to firing someone for being homosexual, but these laws do exist in the form of anti-discrimination guidelines.
But that is not good enough for Ellis and leftist activists. They want their own laws — just for them – at the state and federal level, even though all citizens of the U.S. are protected from discrimination and bodily harm.
Far from being denied their rights under the law, the LGBTQ community has pushed for a slew of special privileges not afforded to any other American because they want to separate themselves as a special class of citizens.

“At a time when LGBTQ rights and acceptance are rolling back at an alarming rate, setting our sights on enshrining LGBTQ equality in the U.S. Constitution is a new bar that we all need to reach for,” said GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis. “It’s time to amend the Constitution.
Did she really say “LGBTQ rights and acceptance are rolling back?” In fact, quite the opposite is true. It is the rights of conservative Americans and acceptance of Christian values that are under attack at an alarming rate.
The left controls the mainstream media, the entertainment industry, and major American corporations.
Conservatives are accused of hate speech for simply wanting to preserve Biblical truths.
Christian legislators and nominees for federal positions are denied advancements in their careers because it will “offend” the minority of citizens in the LGBTQ community.
Our public schools have become indoctrination centers for their agenda, with little recourse for parents but to choose an alternate form of education.
And yet, Ellis claims the rights of this community are decreasing.
The U.S. Constitution was written to protect the rights of every American citizen, but leftists don’t want to be treated like every other American citizen.
And they are furious when they don’t receive special treatment.
Ellis concludes that,
“an amendment to the Constitution is the permanent change that ends the rigor of court decisions and removes the formidable possibility that current or future Administrations can continue to chip away at LGBTQ progress.”
It is frightening enough to see traditional Christian values crumbling on a daily basis. The left has already advocated for removal of the Second Amendment from the Constitution. They disregard the First Amendment rights to free speech and freedom from religious persecution – unless it benefits their causes.
The even deny the very sanctity of life itself, fighting to continue for the “right” to murder unborn children.
And now, they want their own special Constitutional amendment.
We must continue to pray for our nation and encourage and push our legislators to stand firm against this onslaught.
The LGBTQ community is not without their rights, but they will be the only group with any rights at all if the tide does not turn and we do not fight back for what we believe in – and for what our nation was founded upon.
