Immigration concerns have flooded politics as liberal states act in protest to federal law.
California has been a front runner in their rebellion. They have put restrictions on local law enforcement, limiting their ability to work with federal immigration control agencies.
In addition, they have created sanctuary laws for undocumented immigrants, allowed them to vote, and publicly spoken against any efforts to reel in the out-of-control state.
These characteristics have made California a prime target for anyone looking to stay in the United States without going through legitimate channels to make a honest living here.
Now one of the worst case scenarios has sprung from the lefts’ brazen disregard for our nation’s integrity and preservation.
Hundreds of foreign citizens are marching together toward the U.S. border to try and get in by extreme measures.
The Federalist reported:
“At some point this spring, the caravan’s 2,000-mile (3,200-km) journey that began at Tapachula near the Guatemalan border on March 25 will end at the U.S. border, where some of its members will apply for asylum, while others will attempt to sneak into the United States.”
The caravan of around one thousand people was organized by People Without Borders, according to BuzzFeed.
The non-profit agency has not reported any efforts to help the individuals receive legal citizenship.
President Trump has been on top of the situation, and has made it clear there will be repercussions for this bold move.
Fox News reported:
“President Trump declared on Sunday the deal for the Obama-era DACA program was “NO MORE” and called for “tough” immigration reform after a report stated a caravan carrying more than 1,000 people from Central America is traveling through Mexico and to the United States in hopes of entering the states illegally or by asking for asylum.”
Republicans are now urged by Trump to take the “nuclear option”, according to Fox News, in immigration policy reform.
The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA) is Obama era legislation that protects illegal immigrants who were brought here when they were children.
Congress has been working on a way to give the DACA recipients legal citizenship status, but now may not get the President’s support.

Progressives are trying to claim that these people are just trying to escape harsh conditions, and that they are not criminals, or trying to bring drugs into the country.
The fact of the matter is that we don’t know the intentions, or past criminal history, of these individuals looking to come in, and that is why we have a citizenship process to screen for these things.
We found out during the Northern California Immigration Customs Enforcement raid that many of the illegal immigrants detained were violent criminals.
There would have been even more offenders taken off the street if it weren’t for Schaaf, the Oakland mayor, blowing the whistle on the federal agents.

How can a thousand people just walk right into the United States you wonder?
Fox News reported:
“National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) union chief Brandon Judd told “Fox & Friends” on Sunday that the migrants are riding on the benefit of catch and release, when illegal immigrants are detained in the U.S. and released while they await for their court hearings.”
Many of the travelers are planning on pleading for asylum. This route would allow the individual a chance to make a case for needing to stay in the United States in order to survive.
According to Denise Gilman, a University of Texas law professor, in a NBC News report, foreigners who claim asylum will get a “credible fear interview” that determines in a short amount of time if the plea is legitimate.
Those who do pass the demands of the interview are deported immediately. If they do pass, they are able to work toward a path of legal citizenship.
The caravan members who aren’t seeking asylum are planning on trying to pass through by illegal means, according to Fox News.
Mexico doesn’t seem to mind the caravan marching through their country, and has made no efforts to halt them.
This continued lack of concern for people entering the country illegally has pushed Trump to threaten to back out of the North American Free Trade Agreement with Mexico.
Growing concern for the safety of American citizens, and liberal’s neglect of constitutional honor, is pushing more and more American’s toward tighter immigration laws.
There has to be constraints on those looking to reside in this country. It is awful what some people have to go through in war torn or poor areas of the world, but there are ways to work within the confines of legislation.
We are reminded through this experience that we now have a president who looks out for his people above the interests of international popularity.
