The Battle Over Traditional Marriage Is Not Over

Liberal media of late has had a shift of focus, letting some big issues fester beneath the surface.

They have been focused on degrading the character of our President and making sure they lead as many children to the chopping block as possible that many forget the fight for traditional marriage is not over.

Morality is being challenged daily by the liberal agenda.

Whether it’s claiming transgender, killing a child in the womb, or trying to marry beyond the confines of a man and woman, the left is opposing God’s perfect design.

As Brian Brown, president of The National Organization for Marriage (NOM), reports on The Daily Wire, there is a “need for conservatives to get re-engaged in the fight for traditional marriage.”

NOM has been on the front lines protecting marriage for 12 years, and they haven’t backed down from a fight yet.

While many cultures, traditions, and legal cases have brought awareness to the need for marriage protection, none has made an impact quite like the case Obergefell v. Hodges.

The Supreme Court ruled in the 2015 landmark case that same-sex couples had the right to marry by both the Due Process Clause and the Equal Protection Clause of the fourteenth amendment.

Before the court made this tragic ruling, more than “50 million Americans voted for traditional marriage in 30 states,” reports the Daily Wire.

These votes were tossed aside with no consideration with the “illegitimate” and “unprincipled” US Supreme Court Ruling.

With one stroke all legal precedence and historical tradition was counted for naught.

After this ruling was made, many conservatives benched their efforts, feeling that the future has already been decided when it came to marriages.

But just as we have seen the tides turning in the abortion ring, there is hope that marriage will one day return to it’s God-given state with Obergefell v. Hodges being overturned.

Science has shown that the happiest marriages are those between one man and one woman, as Mommy Underground has previously reported.

Traditional marriage is also the best environment for children to be raised in.

Depression Research and Treatment cited a study titled “Invisible Victims: Delayed Onset Depression among Adults with Same-Sex Parents”,  that showed “those raised by same-sex parents experience significantly more depression, obesity, and other problems in young adulthood than their peers.”

The Hindawi publishers who posted the study were bullied by liberals into writing an apology to the LGBT community and a disclaimer that they are not associated with the research upon which it was found.

This is not an isolated incident. There has been several studies and publications that have upset the sensibilities of liberals, where they have threatened their way into a submission of guilt for reporting the truth.

Don’t let this be the case with marriage. The institution of marriage is one of the most important aspects of society.

Without it, the propagation of our species would be compromised, leaving society clamoring for an escape.

The fact is that marriage was created by God, it is not a idea up for debate, or a contract that can be waived and changed by any political process.

The LGBT community thought that the victory of Obergefell would leave them to live life as “normal”, without limitations on their domestic pursuits… but that wasn’t enough for them.

There has been case after case where the LGBT community has targeted conservatives and traditional marriage, showing they will not rest until everyone is praising their life choices.

Legal precedence of same-sex marriage has now compromised children’s education, giving the LGBT community a foot in the door to indoctrinate children through public school curriculums.

As Brown points out, democracy itself was “weakened” when over 50 million votes were discounted by Obergefell.

There are many pieces of legislation that need to refuted at this time in history by conservatives to keep this nation from falling further away from its roots.

The Equality Act is one of them, which would make many LGBT ideals a federal mandate among other things.

With Kavanaugh appointed by Trump to the Supreme Court there is a real chance of overturning some landmark cases that have made America’s “hall of shame.”

Don’t stop fighting for traditional marriage, for our bodies to be respected for the way they were created, and for children to be given the true right to life.
