Gas Attacks In Syria Could Have Extreme Consequences

Americans are in limbo as military action is threatened as daily life can shift overnight.

President Trump, who has supported America first in his efforts, seeks out a plan with our allies over a deadly assault that cannot be ignored.

Russia has been in and out of American politics for months now, with the election investigation and the recent association with Syria.

In an inquiry into the 2016 presidential election, Democrats were persistent in that Russia favored Donald Trump as a candidate, and thus tampered with the campaigning in the United States.

A year, and many tweets, later, Russia and Trump have been at odds as tensions rise over Putin’s support of Syria after a deadly gas attack.

The President made a tweet condemning Russia for their alliance with a government that has facilitated so many deaths of their own citizens.

Liberals were aggressive in their attacks against Trump when they thought that he wasn’t being reactionary enough to the Russian allegations concerning a rigged election.

The Washington Post reported on a strongly worded email sent out by the Democratic National Committee, which condemned Trump for lack of action as soon as the accusations began:

What he hasn’t done is condemn the Kremlin’s attack on our democracy or vow to defend our elections against future attacks. … This is a president who has taken [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s side over his own intelligence agencies, consistently puts his own interests ahead of U.S. national security and is all but inviting Russia to attack us again by refusing to implement sanctions designed to deter future assaults on our elections.”

Then in a complete turnaround, liberals wanted the President to not be too hasty in conflict with Russia.

KTSA reported:

With US President Donald Trump weighing “all options on the table” in response to the deadly chemical-weapons attack that he blames on the Syrian government forces, top Democratic leaders have questioned his legal authority to order a military attack on Syria.”

Crossroads are being reached with many democratic representatives, as they toil with their past contentions with Russia and siding with the President whom they sought to tear down since the country voted in his favor.

Russia is allied with Syria and has backed the Middle Eastern country by making public statements that they will use their military sources to defend any attack by the United States, or our allies.

The New York Times reported:

“..the Russian ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin, warned the United States and its allies that any missiles fired at Syria would be shot down. He made those comments in an interview with Al Manar Television.”

The deadly gas attack was said to have killed 70 people in the Damascus suburb of Douma, according to the World Health Organization.

About 500 people presented with symptoms that would be consistent with toxic chemical exposure.

Despite the WHO’s report, “the Syrian governments and Russia say the reports are bogus”, reported Reuters.

Efforts are being made to find concrete evidence that would pinpoint a culprit.

USA Today reported:

“An international chemical weapons watchdog organization will send a fact-finding team to Syria “soon” to investigate claims that government forces used chemical weapons against civilians in the rebel-held town of Douma, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons said Tuesday.”

The conflict with Syria comes only days after the President announced efforts to bring home American troops after 6 months.

News of a scenario in Syria that may require US military involvement is devastating for the American families who were hoping to get a family member home.

It is now an age where threats of large scale war, either on American soil or abroad, are real.

This transition can change our nation’s families as loved ones are called into active duty, or children are made to be aware of the horrors of violence.

Hopefully, it will not come to that. The United States military is intelligent in their approach and execution of missions.

We are a strong nation that will endure whatever trials are presented, and will come out stronger and more united.

Please let us know in the comments section if you think there will be more that comes of Syrian involvement.
