Perhaps the most dangerous force behind spreading progressive propaganda is Hollywood.
Left-wing celebrities like to jump on every new progressive cause, and their exploits and influence are celebrated by the liberal media.
These celebrities are embracing this nonsense within their own families, but it may not only be their children who are harmed by it.
Whether we like it or not, Hollywood celebrities and everyone in the entertainment industry have a lot of money — and a lot of influence on our culture.
They establish trends and are sometimes unfortunate role models for our kids and teens.
So it is disturbing that so many celebs are adopting the transgender agenda – not only supporting the cause, but forcing the lifestyle on their own innocent children.
These include Will and Jada-Pinkett Smith, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and the most recent to disclose her parenting style, Charlize Theron.
Theron adopted a little boy in 2012, naming him Jackson.
All kids like to play dress up and use their imaginations, so when Jackson was three, he said, “I am not a boy!” according to Theron.
Most of us would tell our three-year-old that they are, in fact, a boy and take it as nothing more than a young child being imaginative.
But not Theron. She decided that her young child – too young to understand and dependent on her guidance – thought he was trapped in the wrong body and decided then and there that he was going to be a “girl.”
“They were born who they are and exactly where in the world both of them get to find themselves as they grow up, and who they want to be, is not for me to decide,” Theron said, according to LifeSite News.
Actually, it is for you to decide. It is up to us as parents to do what is best for our children – for their health and their future.
No three-year-old child should be making life decisions when they are just barely beginning to have a concept of self.
What was likely a moment of imaginative play will now affect this child for the rest of his life because his mother was afraid to take charge and set things straight.
Young Jackson is now considered a girl. Theron calls him her “daughter.” He wears skirts, carries purses, and is completely supported – we dare say brainwashed — by his mother.
Of course, it comes as no surprise that Theron is one of the LGBTQ’s greatest supporters in Hollywood.
Not too long ago, the very thought of allowing a young child to make a decision on their own – let alone one this serious – would have been unheard of.
But in the progressive world of entitlement, safe spaces, and tolerance for “anything goes,” parents are giving up their authority and letting kids call the shots.
None of us want unappreciative, entitled children who are not taught to have respect or compassion. But that is the least of our concern with this type of parenting.
Allowing the idea to take root in our culture that kids are in charge and can drastically change who they were born to be is dangerous for all of us.
The more this is accepted in liberal Hollywood and played out in the pages of magazines and online, the more our own children will think there’s nothing wrong with it.
And it’s not just the transgender issue – it encompasses the very substance of who we are supposed to be in our natural roles as determined by our Creator.
Parents guide and discipline their children, setting boundaries, making decisions they may not like, keeping them safe and sheltered from dangerous situations and influences.
That is our job.
What does the future hold for humanity if our culture shifts so drastically that parents are no longer looked at as authority figures in their children’s lives?
It sounds like chaos, and that seems to be the inevitable path we’re on when people of influence spread propaganda like this – a trend that’s not easily changed like fashion, but one that is drastic, harmful, and permanent.
The American Academy of Pediatrics has stated that it is child abuse to allow young children to be transgender. It is an emotional and physical disaster that a child will never recover from.
And, sadly, it’s trendy right now, and celebrities are our trendsetters.
It is quite frightening to think that we are now living in a society where children can legally change their biological sex, defile and permanently damage their bodies through surgeries, and fill themselves with harmful hormones.
Changes they can decide on when they’re not even legally old enough to vote or serve their country.
It’s even worse when a parent encourages it. This is not even an adolescent — it is a three-year-old.
And it’s sickening. These celebrities who are so much a part of the spread of the progressive agenda should really stop and think about the consequences of following this particular trend.
