How To Navigate Having Your Husband Home From Work

  1. Let Go

One of the biggest secrets of having a flawless shift in the routine is to not stress about the little changes throughout the day- because there will be some!

When your husband is home, he adds an element of surprise to the tight schedule, and you should take that as a blessing.

If you get upset every time you see the kids were given granola bars rather than buckwheat pancakes for breakfast, or you see the kids playing in the backyard with dad instead of doing their homework, you are going to have an awful day.

If you take the substitutions as a nice break from an exhausting day, then you can enjoy those special moments with the family where daddy was able to take more than a minute to truly have fun with the kids.

Having the kids home from school too means you will have many more hands and feet creating little messes and ripples in the how you expect the day to go.

On the flip side, each extra little hand and foot in the home is a blessing, where you get to spend more time with kids who grow up way to fast.

Disruptions in our day can seem like a weight on our shoulders as methodical plans are thrown in a frenzy, but a change in perspective and a little planning can transform the event into a family fun day you won’t forget.

Please let us know if you have trouble adjusting when your husband is home from work, or if you have a plan that never fails you in these events.
