Kavanaugh Confirmation Upsets Abortion Activists

Since Trump took office he has been getting a lot of things right; which is apparent from the mob of angry liberals that follow him around.

When the opening for a new Associate Justice of the US Supreme Court came up, we knew that Trump was going to root for the right guy.

All things “Judge Brett Kavanaugh” have been saturating the news for weeks, putting liberals into a frenzy. But why?

LifeSite News reported:

The United States Senate just voted 50-48 Saturday to make Judge Brett Kavanaugh the next Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, concluding an intense confirmation battle echoing those of Judge Robert Bork and Justice Clarence Thomas.”

Getting to a vote was not easy. It has been almost a month since Kavanaugh was supposed to be voted on by the Senate.

Since the inception of the hearing, many from the left gave outbursts of protests from the Senate gallery.

They were voicing opposition on Kavanaugh’s allegations of sexual assault and his supposed position on abortion.

The unsubstantiated sexual assault allegations brought on an additional round of committee hearings, and an outrageous seventh background investigation by the FBI.

Although the multiple allegations with the women was serious enough to elicit an investigation and bad press, there were protestors gathering long before the smear campaign.

Women dressing in outfits from “The Handmaid’s Tale”, depicting the characters that were owned by the government and used to breed, staged appearances at the Capitol.

While many were arrested, it wasn’t before their message that “Our rights could slip through our fingers unless we act now to defend them” came across, according to Fox News.

This is in relation to pro-abortionists being fearful that with Kavanaugh in the Supreme Court abortion laws as we know them could be radically shifted.

Let’s hope this is the case!

Judges have to be careful about explicitly voicing opinions because they are to be unbiased in their rulings, dependent only on the constitution to guide them.

However, as many pro-life advocates will point out, the tone and objectives of the Constitution stand to reason that abortion rights should never have been given in the first place.

In a 2017 speech, Kavanaugh spoke on behalf of his “judicial hero”, the former Chief Justice William Rehnquist.

In the midst of his eloquent parlance, Kavanaugh spoke on how Rehnquist saw abortions as not “rooted in the traditions and conscience of our people,” using the Roe v. Wade case as a prime example of “freewheeling judicial creation of unenumerated rights”, according to LifeSite News.

On the other hand, during the recent hearing Kavanaugh relayed how he has respect for the precedent that Roe began, and would not elaborate on his words in 2017.

Many supporters of Kavanaugh asserted that he was elusive about his position on abortion because of the closely divided Senate, and nothing more.

LifeSite News reported on the President’s positive reaction to Kavanaugh’s confirmation:

“I applaud and congratulate the U.S. Senate for confirming our GREAT NOMINEE, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, to the United States Supreme Court,” President Donald Trump responded to the news. “Later today, I will sign his Commission of Appointment, and he will be officially sworn in. Very exciting!”

This is very exciting indeed, especially seeing that the judge who Kavanaugh is replacing, retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy, often ruled in favor of pro-abortion and pro-LGBT cases.

It’s no secret that our POTUS was looking to appoint judges who he thought could be a driving force for overturning Roe v. Wade.

As the Washington Post reports, after Judge Gorsuch was appointed, President Trump was asked if he wanted to see Roe v. Wade overturned, in which he responded:

Well, if we put another two or perhaps three justices on, that’s really what’s going to be — that will happen,” Trump said during that October debate. “And that’ll happen automatically, in my opinion, because I am putting pro-life justices on the court.”

Thousands of babies now have hope at starting a life outside the womb thanks to President Trump’s brave stance on the morally objectionable abortion legislation in place.

Women will have the chance to honor the way their bodies were designed and their unborn children with a judge in the seat who cares more about life than progressive ideals.

We have promising times ahead that threaten an inexcusable “right” and bring light to a reality of genocide happening on American soil.

Please let us know in the comments section how you think Judge Kavanaugh’s new position may affect abortion cases, and if there is hope for Roe v. Wade to be overturned.
