Social Justice Warriors Swarm Campus With Bats To “Protect” Students

Social justice warriors at Evergreen State University have launched a campus-wide crusade in the name of “equality”.

Instead of peacefully protesting their viewpoints, they’ve resorted to roaming around campus with baseball bats.

And their latest target will shock you.

This time, social justice warriors at Evergreen decided to target one of their own – a self-proclaimed Bernie Sanders supporter, who identifies as “deeply progressive”, and is a leftist professor at Evergreen.

But what would make leftist college students turn on a friendly ally?

As it turns out, while social justice warriors claim the motto “justice for all”, it appears that only applies to people who agree with their agenda.

When professor Weinstein spoke out against the “Day of Absence” protest, social justice warriors launched a full-fledged attack.

The New York Times reported:

“A bit of background: The “Day of Absence” is an Evergreen tradition that stretches back to the 1970s. As Mr. Weinstein explained on Wednesday in The Wall Street Journal, “in previous years students and faculty of color organized a day on which they met off campus — a symbolic act based on the Douglas Turner Ward play in which all the black residents of a Southern town fail to show up one morning.” This year, the script was flipped: “White students, staff and faculty will be invited to leave campus for the day’s activities,” reported the student newspaper on the change. The decision was made after students of color “voiced concern over feeling as if they are unwelcome on campus, following the 2016 election.”

Weinstein spoke out against it, calling it a “moral act of bullying”, and pointed out any white student who chose to stay on campus would be called a racist.

And when social justice warriors got wind Weinstein wasn’t supporting their “Day of Absence”, they lost their minds.

A group of college students protested outside Weinstein’s classroom calling him a racist and claiming he supported “white supremacy”.

But instead of backing up Weinstein, George Bridges, president of Evergreen State University, told police to “stand down”, causing mass chaos on campus.

Social justice warriors, taking matters into their own hands, started roaming around Evergreen with baseball bats and tasers.

And instead of condemning the students, Bridges encouraged them.

The New York Times reported:

“At a town hall meeting, Mr. Bridges described the protestors as “courageous” and expressed his gratitude for “this catalyst to expedite the work to which we are jointly committed.” Of course, there was also pablum about how “free speech must be fostered and encouraged.”

But once Evergreen realized things were quickly escalating beyond their control, they attempted to walk back their words and condemn the “baseball bat patroles”, however by this time it was too late.

Breitbart reported:

“We are aware of a small group of students coordinating a community patrol of housing and campus. We acknowledge and understand the fear and concerns that are motivating these actions. We also understand that these students are seeking to provide an alternative source of safety from external entities as well as those community members who they distrust.

Community patrols can be a useful tool for helping people to feel safe, however the use of bats or similar instruments is not productive. Some members of this group have been observed carrying batons and/or bats. Carrying bats is causing many to feel unsafe and intimidated. The bats must be put away immediately in order to protect all involved. Non-students participating in this activity are advised to leave campus.”

In fact, state legislators are threating to revoke $24 million in state funding from Evergreen State University due to the adults losing control of the college students.

This is exactly what happens when grown adults let leftist teenagers run around campus on a so-called “moral crusade”.

College administrators have completely lost control of their campus, and now they should prepare to lose funding as well.

Leftist college students don’t live in reality. It’s insane to think just because someone doesn’t agree with you, it’s acceptable to hold violent protests and run around with baseball bats in the name of “justice”.

Parents need to teach children while they’re young this type of behavior is unacceptable.

Parents should also raise their children to stop thinking the world owes them something.
