Whether it’s a baby where you need to plan your life around naps and feeding times, or older kids with school and extracurricular activities, finding those intimate moments around a cup of coffee with another adult can be difficult.

Don’t lose hope! There is a way that you can have lasting personal relationships, and be an amazing, involved mother.

It’s about finding friends that get where you are at.

Other mothers that have matching breastmilk stains on their shirt when you run into them at the supermarket, and who don’t freak out when your toddler throws a tantrum on the playground.

This is not to say that you can’t have friends that are not parents, but it will be a bit more work, and you would have to understand when they don’t want to change a diaper real quick to help out.

The fact of the matter is, until you become a parent, understanding the demands of parenting is a story from a book, a tale you can logically comprehend, but not quite relate too.
