When two kids have their eye on the same toy to play with, a battle of “I saw it first!” will ensue.

When that same battle turns into name-calling, put-downs, and physical attacks, intervention is necessary.

Demonstrate to your children what a proper conversation looks like when you have a difference of opinion.

Explain to them that you don’t expect them never to disagree or argue, but that you do expect them to resolve those differences without attacking the other person personally; physically or otherwise.
