This Stronghold For Family Values Is The Next Target In The Left’s Agenda Of Death

Many of us watch in shock and disgust as the progressive agenda of the left seeps further into every part of our lives each day.

Perhaps the most disturbing part of the left’s plan to further their agenda is their indoctrination of young people who are most vulnerable to their propaganda.

Not only an American problem, students in Europe are mounting a campaign to amend one of the most sacred parts of their Constitution – and leftists everywhere are cheering them on.

Ireland has typically been a bedrock of traditional values with a large Catholic population and strong focus on the family unit.

But now, as the left moves forward to spew their rhetoric on a global scale, Irish youth are organizing to do the unthinkable.

Student groups in Ireland are rallying their fellow youth to vote to repeal the Eighth Amendment to the Irish Constitution that makes abortion illegal.

One of the few stalwarts in the fight to protect innocent life, Ireland’s Constitution mandated that abortion would be illegal in the Offences Against the Person Act of 1861.

And in 2013, the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act continued to mandate abortion as a criminal offense, with special circumstances being given only in the case of risk of life to the mother.

As Ireland is part of the British Isles encompassing England, Scotland, and Wales, it is common for Irish students to travel to other countries in the UK for study.

Because of the conservative and traditional nature of older citizens in Ireland, the left is spurring on student groups to vote to repeal the Eighth Amendment – and they are going so far as to pay for travel to bring Irish students home to vote for “choice.”

LifeSite News reported:

Irish students in the UK who want to go home to vote to repeal the pro-life Eighth Amendment are being provided with travel vouchers to do so.

“The Union of Students in Ireland is working with its UK counterpart to ‘campaign’ for Irish students studying in institutions in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to travel home to vote on 25 May,” reported RTE.

The National Union of Students in the UK (NUSUK) and the Union of Students in Ireland (USI) make it clear they support abortion.

“Any Irish citizens studying in the UK can get in touch with their Students’ Union and avail of a travel bursary fund that Students’ Unions can apply to,” said Michael Kerrigan, President of USI.

The “Home to Vote” campaign is gaining steam and the threat of Irish youth who have succumb to leftist propaganda is very real in this fight.

Another student group, the National Union of Students Northern Ireland (NUS-USI) also blatantly promotes abortion on its website, saying it supports “the decriminalisation of abortion in Northern Ireland” in “solidarity with the campaign to repeal the 8th Amendment in the Republic of Ireland.”

A referendum to appeal the life-saving Eighth Amendment is set to take place on May 25th, and nearly 27,000 new student voters have registered and plan to vote.

And while a spokesman for NUS-USI says that students do not have to state what their vote will be to receive travel vouchers, the intent is clear:  Irish youth see the Eighth Amendment as “outdated” as the rest of the world adopts the left’s culture of death.

The students are also getting a push from the center of leftist propaganda in the U.S. – Hollywood.

Mommy Underground recently reported on the sickening comments of actor Liam Neeson, who is of Irish heritage but has adopted Hollywood’s anti-life stance.  He has expressed support for the referendum.

We can only pray the traditional Christian values that have so long remained strong in Ireland do not suffer the same fate as those of the U.S. and other countries who choose not to legally protect life.

This fight is a prime example of the dangerous game the left is playing with the world’s youth as they brainwash them into carrying on their agenda to future generations.

Mommy Underground will keep you posted on the outcome of the vote that takes place on May 25th, and we will continue to keep you up-to-date on everything you need to know to fight for the protection of the unborn.
