Unbelievable – Angry LGBT Activists Protest COVID-19 Field Hospitals In NYC

As our world struggles to bind together during these unprecedented times – most people have one common goal – do whatever we can to help one another.

Nurses are coming out of retirement to head back to the hospitals.  Moms are volunteering to sew masks so medical personnel have proper coverings to treat patients.

And one private organization quickly helped develop a 68-bed field hospital designed to help people who have contracted the coronavirus – and was met with protest.

Samaritan’s Purse is a Christian humanitarian aid organization that provides physical relief to those who are hurting in the name of Jesus.

Seeing the crisis in New York City which has essentially become the epicenter of COVID-19 in America, they quickly moved to bring in medical professionals and create a makeshift hospital right in Central Park.

But instead of appreciating the extra help – LGBT activists actually took to the streets to protest the hospital!

Why would anyone protest extra help in a city where thousands of Americans are sick with the coronavirus?

Because a Christian organization is funding it.

Yes, really.

Because Samaritan’s Purse is a Christian organization that believes marriage is between one man and one woman, LGBT activists hate their statement of faith so strongly, they’d rather stand on their pro-LGBT platform than help people who are dying of COVID-19.

A pro-LGBT group called Reclaim Pride Coalition showed off their hatred of this organization in a disturbing statement.

Lifesite News reported:

“Activist Jay W. Walker of the Reclaim Pride Coalition asked, “How was this group ever considered to bring their hatred and their vitriol into our city at a time of crisis when our people are fighting a pandemic?”

There’s nothing hateful about standing for marriage between one man and one woman.

And there’s certainly nothing hateful about setting up an operation to save lives.

Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse and son of evangelist Billy Graham posted a statement to Facebook describing what was going on.

He acknowledged while staff and volunteers must sign a statement of faith adhering to Christian values – they serve all people regardless of their religious affiliation.

Graham went on in his statement to describe the harassment of groups and politicians taking away time and resources from the hospital operation:

“In a country that cherishes freedom of speech and religion we don’t object to opposition or criticism of our beliefs as a Christian organization. What we do object to is being harassed into diverting precious resources of time and energy and personnel away from serving COVID-19 patients in New York City in order to respond to demands for documents and other information from eight Democratic members of Congress, the Human Rights Commission and the Reclaim Pride Coalition—all while the death toll in New York continues to climb. If any of these groups had funded and erected their own emergency field hospitals to serve COVID-19 patients in Central Park, we would join what we believe would be most New Yorkers—and Americans—in applauding and praying for them, not harassing them.”

Now is not the time to play politics with people’s lives.

LGBT activists would rather defend their same-sex marriage beliefs than set aside their own personal politics to let professionals save lives.

And to think actual elected members of Congress would stoop down to agree with the protestors and shun those helping New Yorkers who are hurting shows the real motive of these activists.

It’s clear they’d rather refuse help and leave people to die, instead of allowing a Christian organization to offer assistance.

Truly a sad moment for our country.

Now is the time for Americans to put personal politics aside and work together to save lives.
