New moms read a lot of baby-related books and blogs.
It is highly unlikely that you have new information for her or advice that she actually needs at that time.
She’s tired and entrenched in baby world. Connect her to the outside world and just be her friend.
“If Mom asks questions about breastfeeding, sleep schedules, or postpartum healing, of course, answer with your own experiences and advice, but if not, zip it. This time is about her, not you, so no matter how much her swaddle sucks, keep it to yourself.”

Make sure you follow these rules and any others the mom may have regarding her new baby. This will save hurt feelings in the long run.
