The overturning of Roe v. Wade was a long-awaited day of celebration that meant salvation for countless lives.
Liberals did not take the victory well and have been lashing out ever since with violence, counter-bills, and marches to express their disgust at saving unborn children.
Sadly, none of this is enough, and the left wants the liberal agenda to unfold no matter the cost, so they are trying to take their pro-death measures to other countries – continuing to kill babies wherever they can.
The Daily Wire reports:
“Senate Democrats introduced a bill on Wednesday that would repeal a 50-year-old amendment to expand abortion access globally with U.S foreign aid.”
Democrat Senator Cory Booker from New Jersey presented the Abortion is Health Care Everywhere Act which would appeal the Helms Amendment of 1973.
The Helms Amendment forbids using US foreign aid assistance to fund abortions.
Booker felt he must do something to ensure children in the womb can still be slaughtered after the Supreme Court overruled Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health which stated abortion is a constitutional right.
The far-left Senator referred to abortion as “essential health care services,” according to The Daily Wire, adding:
“This disastrous decision will be felt around the world, setting back many countries who have long used Roe v. Wade as the basis to strengthen abortion rights protections in their own countries. We must take immediate action to mitigate the global impact of this decision.”
The bill to expand abortion around the world with US funds was backed by 21 other senators.
Thankfully, despite the left praising this dark and insidious bill, it’s unlikely to gain any traction.
It will be difficult to repeal Helms with a conservative-led Supreme Court which has already made clear abortion is not constitutional.
Senator Joe Manchin, known for being a pro-life Democrat, will likely vote against Booker’s bill since he’s previously stated his refusal to reverse the Hyde Amendment which also prohibits federal funding for abortion.
Biden signed a retaliatory executive order after the overturning of Roe, claiming he is protecting women’s reproductive health, according to the White House briefing room, and making “reproductive health care” more available through the mail.
Senator Mark Rubio said on his official site when he presented his Prohibiting Federal Emergencies for Abortion Act:
“President Biden and Democrats are hell-bent on preserving the practice of murdering unborn Americans. We should be protecting the lives of innocent babies, not Planned Parenthood’s ability to kill them. I will do everything I can to protect life and block this gross abuse of presidential power.”
While the Abortion is Health Care Everywhere Act is not likely to come to fruition, the Democrat Party will not stop trying to find ways to kill babies.
