The Girl Scouts have long lost their once wholesome tradition of building confidence and instilling traditional values in young girls.
Radical leftists hijacked the Girl Scouts long ago with its top leaders supporting abortion policies.
But their latest stunt shows just how far the trickle-down effect has had on the ranks, and this might be the final nail in the coffin for the once beloved girl scouts.
Volunteer work is something that should be encouraged among all children and teens, so when the Girl Scouts gave an award to a teen for her volunteer work, one would think this would be a high honor.
Except… the teen was wasn’t honored for building a better community, helping the homeless, or empowering young women.
The Girl Scouts of America were eager to give the top award to an Arizona teen for her hard work on a project.
But this teen didn’t just get a simple ribbon or a pat on the back.
Instead, she was given the Girl Scouts Gold Award which is quoted by My Girl Scouts Council as the “highest award” for her work on promoting the most abortions.
Yes, this teen actually got the top award for her work to help promote the slaughtering of unborn babies.
According to Girlscouts.org, those chosen for this award “are seen as a distinguished leader and role model” who “make the world a better place.”
But pro-lifers know abortion harms women, so encouraging young women to murder their unborn babies does not make the world a better place.
Local news ThisisTucson proudly reported the interview with this “unstoppable” teen which they admit was edited for length and clarity.
And when asked to describe her Gold Award project, the young teen said:
“ I’m planning on hosting an event to educate people about and de-stigmatize access to women’s healthcare. I’ve been working with El Rio Reproductive Health Access Project, and they offered ideas on reproductive health justice which would broaden the scope of the project a little bit. I got interested in the topic with the Supreme Court nomination of [Brett] Kavanaugh…”
Of course pro-aborts were more than willing to “offer ideas” to this young teen.
Yet again, grown adults take advantage of a young teen girl, who probably actually believes her project is helping women.
This teen also admitted to being involved with the Tucson Women’s March media committee.
ThisisTucson continued:
“I got involved with Tucson Women’s March when trying to make contacts for my Gold Award and ended up joining a committee to increase participation in the march. I also work on spreading the word to other people of my age group to increase the volunteers from all different ages. Women’s March gives me an opportunity to work to plan an event where my opinion and my input will help to create a difference.”
Shame on these grown women for taking advantage of a young impressionable girl by brainwashing her with the ultimate lie that abortion is “healthcare.”
And if there was ever any doubt that the Girl Scouts were pro-abortion, their latest move should make it crystal clear.
Sadly, there were probably many teens who did have projects that actually helped people.
But eager to use a young girl as a shield to hide behind the radical left has proved yet again they have no problem using children to fight their battles.
