The “politically correct” left is at it again – and this time they’ve brought the word police to the halls of Congress.
During a typical Congressional prayer – one Congressman went rogue and ended prayer in the most bizarre way ever.
In fact, you won’t even believe the way liberals seek to be “inclusive” of genders.
Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) opened up the session of Congress with prayer.
Typical. Normal.
Except his prayer deviated in a strange direction.
He ended it with the traditional “Amen” – but he didn’t stop there.
Seeking to prove a point – he added a completely made-up word after the Amen.
The Hill reported:
“And dare I ask, oh Lord, peace even in this chamber now and evermore,” Cleaver said while serving as guest House chaplain. “We ask it in the name of the monotheistic god, Brahma, and god known by many names by many different faiths. Amen and awoman.”
Say what?
Yes, apparently saying “Amen” is now offensive – so he had to add “awoman” to be inclusive.
Completely ridiculous!
Even though the word AMEN actually translates to mean “truly” or “it is true” – it isn’t just a baseless word.
“Awoman” is a made-up word with no meaning.
So why did he add it?
Liberals always find a way to be offended by something.
What makes this story so sad, as this wasn’t some confused teenage kid praying in school.
It wasn’t a kid being silly – it was an actual elected member of Congress who had the audacity to alter prayer by adding an “awoman.”
Where does it end?
Any word that has “men” in it needs to add “woman”?
And what about all the other “genders” liberals claim exist?
Are they going to want to start changing words too?
The left has seriously lost their minds.
We already know this, but this is just another example.
When pressed about the issue, the Congressman claimed it was just a pun, and he was only saying it because there were women in Congress so he wanted to acknowledge them.
KCTV5 reported:
“With that kind of gender and inclusion in the Congress, the most diverse Congress in history, I ended my prayer by saying ‘a woman,” he said.”
Yes, of course it is a good thing there are women elected to Congress – but that doesn’t mean words need to be altered to acknowledge them.
But leave it to the left to make everything into a political matter – even prayer.
Of course, the deeper agenda is to eliminate all forms of “gender” by inventing their own terminology.
And their “gender neutral” obsession truly infiltrates every area of our lives.
The sad thing is, when confused teens (and even adults) see stunts like the Congressman performed – it just gives fire to their cause.
Make no mistake, their goal is to completely eradicate any form of gender – and they’ll stop at nothing.
