The illegal immigration crisis has been compounded during Biden’s reign.
Thanks to lax policies that put international admiration over the safety of this nation, President Biden and Vice President Harris have created a toxic border environment that they are even too afraid to face.
We know this because Harris gave the most unexpected response when asked to confront the chaos she helped create at the border.
Outside of Air Force One Vice President Kamala Harris was asked by a reporter if she would be visiting the border anytime soon, according to Fox News- and she laughed!
Apparently, putting hundreds of families in danger after dangling hope over their heads is humorous to Harris, or she is laughing out of pure anxiety knowing she has helped orchestrate a problem with no easy solution.
Either way, not the response the country was looking for.
From January to February of this year alone, over 100,000 migrants were detained at the Mexico-US border, according to The Washington Post.
That is more than any other year to date for the corresponding month!
The left loves twisting facts to fit the narrative as we see in the media daily, which has led to numerous cover stories on why these increases in illegal immigration arrests are not caused by the current administration’s new open immigration policies.
NBC News reports:
“The president campaigned on easing immigration controls, including a moratorium on deportations, an end to former President Donald Trump’s “wait in Mexico” policy for asylum-seekers and halting construction of the border wall. That platform gave migrants good reason to believe it would be easier to get into the United States if he were elected.”
Before breaking out in a chuckle, Harris told reporters she wasn’t going to the border “today” and had already visited “before.”
Fox News reached out to the White House to ask if the administration thought Harris’ response was appropriate given the situation but had not heard back.
There will probably not be a response considering the Biden administration is living in their liberal bubble, refusing to acknowledge that any of their dozens of executive orders or policies have negatively affected this country.
Ambassador Roberta Jacobson, the administration’s coordinator for the southern border, was careful to avoid any condemning speech when making a statement, saying:
“We have to do what we do regardless of what anybody calls the situation.”
White House press secretary Jen Psaki did what she could to phrase the migrant crisis in positive terms so the administration she represents could save some face.
Psaki said in a press conference:
“Children presenting at our border who are fleeing violence… who are fleeing terrible situations, is not a crisis.”
Biden is working tirelessly to twist the narrative as to avoid taking responsibility for the mess he has put the country in and the families who left everything to cash in on his promises.
Senator Ted Cruz has made an effort to expose the reality of the situation at the border but unsurprisingly the administration will not grant press passes to join Cruz at the border, reports Fox News.
It is obviously hypocritical for the current administration to campaign “transparency” at the border, only to diligently try to hide the truth from the American people.
The situation our country faces with lax immigration laws puts our citizens at risk while ignoring the reality of a lack of safe space to house the families hoping to start a new life in this country because the immigration process was taken for granted.
