- They exhibit a lot of fear
There is a healthy place for fear in our lives. It is a lifesaving reaction. Kids should all have a healthy dose of it, but not to the point of crippling their everyday activities.
Kids Health reported:
“Fear is a feeling that everyone has — it’s programmed into all of us — and that’s a good thing because fear is there to protect us. We’re born with a sense of fear so we can react to something that could be dangerous.”
Children often fear things they don’t understand. Informing a child of the facts around their fears could help ease them.
If your child fears social situations, try role-playing for practice, or going through the worst and best case scenarios to give perspective.
