Whoopi Is Done With Twitter And We Are Hoping Her Friends Follow

The biggest news in social media since Zuckerberg admitted to a lack of privacy on Facebook is Elon Musk buying Twitter.

A lot of executive changes have been made to the social media giant, with many more promised down the line.

These changes haven’t favored the liberal agenda so you can imagine the hissy fits the left is throwing – and on the top of the list is Whoopi Goldberg.

Billionaire Elon Musk branched off from shooting rockets into space to buy one of the most popular social media platforms in the world.

And in one of the first big public announcements since the takeover, Whoopi Goldberg said on the show she hosts, “The View”, that she is going to quit Twitter, reports Fox News.

Whoopi ranted on her show:

So it has been a little over a week since Elon Musk took over Twitter and the place, it’s a mess… He also suspended Kathy Griffin for impersonating him on a parody account, which has started a FreeKathy hashtag to trend. I’m — I’m getting off. I’m getting off today because I just feel like, you know, it’s so messy.”

Pretending to be someone else on social media is a big deal.

Griffin and Goldberg thought setting up an account with Elon Musk’s name was just a little prank that he took too seriously.

People have gone to jail for doing such “jokes.”

LA Criminal Defenders reports:

It is illegal to impersonate another person online either to buy some sort of a social media posting account like a Facebook account or some email with the intent to do some sort of harm to that person or defraud another person.”

And harm is not only physical but emotional.

Whoopi then added that she was tired of “attitudes” that were formerly blocked by strict liberal rules and were now granted the same freedom of speech she’s given.

In a backpedaling comment she said she would come back to Twitter if she felt more “comfortable.”

You know she will be back on social media in no time, because narcissist celebrities that think their opinion will dictate the outcome of a multi-billion-dollar company needs a platform to spout their rhetoric – because hosting a show with an echo chamber isn’t enough.

Co-host on The View, Sunny Hostin joined in the rant about how Elon Musk’s Twitter isn’t the one she approves of saying:

“You’ve got this Elon Musk turning it into something that it was never intended to be. It’s going to be the public square. Well I don’t want to be part of that public square, but I also don’t want to miss the valuable information that can be put on there.”

God forbid one miss the latest tweet from their favorite celebrity.

Sara Haines, another of Whoopi’s minions on The View said:

As far as Elon Musk, I don’t even understand how this guy can run Twitter when he can’t even get himself off Twitter. He is there causing drama on a daily basis. He’s tweeting and tweeting and tweeting and getting into fights. It’s insane”

This complaint is all too familiar from the left.

They want to silence any opinion that doesn’t line up with the liberal agenda and use their freedom of speech to say as much in a public forum.

Whoopi admitted herself on the show, “Some speech is not OK free speech.”

Musk only agitated the angry and bitter women on The View even more when he tweeted that he recommends voting Republican:

To independent-minded voters: Shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties, therefore I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, given that the Presidency is Democratic.”

Social media wars are frequent and Whoopi’s irate position is nothing new.

Historically big changes in beloved platforms only make headlines momentarily until the next big tweet distracts the masses.

We can only hope that Whoopi’s hiatus inspires her friends and co-hosts to follow suit, cleaning Twitter’s swamp.
