Biden Supports Socialist Country’s Oil Production But Not Our Own

Inflation is on the rise and it’s impacting every aspect of our daily life – from the food we eat to the all the playdates we can’t attend because of gas prices.

The left says the answer is to take more money from American citizens so the government can have an even deeper wallet to mismanage.

Biden could be utilizing the wit and skill of hard workers in his own back yard to improve our quality of life – but as a liberal globalist, he’s opted to send our taxpayer dollars to a socialist dictator instead.

The Daily Wire reports:

Democrat President Joe Biden faced backlash over the weekend after his administration announced it would allow Chevron to resume pumping oil in socialist Venezuela.”

Venezuela’s socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro has been terrorizing his country for years by restricting freedoms and making sure he has the final say at all costs.

In an effort to aid in the human rights crisis, former president Donald Trump restricted companies from certain work with Venezuela.

But with no consideration for US interests or Venezuelan citizens, the Biden administration has now reversed everything Trump did.

The Treasury Department stated:

On November 26th, the Unitary Platform and the Maduro regime announced the resumption of talks in Mexico City; a humanitarian agreement focused on education, health, food security, flood response, and electricity programs that will benefit the Venezuelan people; and agreement on the continuation of talks focused on the 2024 elections.”

This powerplay by Maduro to gain popularity before the coming elections gave the US the excuse they needed to resume pumping oil out of the socialist country again.

The Treasury Department continued their statement:

Following this announcement and consistent with U.S. government policy, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued Venezuela General License (GL) 41, authorizing Chevron Corporation to resume limited natural resource extraction operations in Venezuela.”

The administration claims they’re helping Venezuela by resuming “targeted sanctions relief” because the country’s government is now finally trying to help its people.

Venezuela’s economy never recovered after its “state-run economic model” that “wasted the world’s largest oil reserves,” CNBC reported.

A 2019 report by CNBC revealed how the country’s inflation had reached 10-million percent in a single year, leaving Venezuelans starving to death.

And instead of preventing the same crisis from happening in the United States, Biden is throwing Americans under the bus.

This blatant act of political interest has many Americans questioning Biden and his administration’s priorities.

President Biden has been hostile towards issuing drilling permits in the United States, invoking frustration and criticism among domestic oil companies and their supporters.

Former White House Economic Adviser Stephen Moore told Fox News:

“I literally almost fell out of my chair reading this headline that says we’re going to allow, you know, Chevron to do drilling in Venezuela.”

“This is the same administration that won’t allow us to do drilling here in the United States, not in Texas, not in Oklahoma, not in Alaska, not in West Virginia. But we can pump oil from Venezuela. It makes absolutely no sense. It’s put America last energy policy.”

The lack of support from our own President and his administration has caused a chasm between political parties and leaves us with an economic policy that is not in America’s best interests.

It begs the question, why run a country you are unwilling to fight for?
