Entertainment Giant Puts The Final Nail In The Coffin Of Its “Family” Reputation

We’ve all seen it – liberal outrage, protests, and downright temper-tantrums when someone dares disagree with their propaganda, or worse, does something about it.

Such is the case now as state after state has decided that radical abortion supporters are crossing the line, and the innocent unborn need to be protected.

The progressive left, and their corporate allies, are doing what they always do – threaten and bully – aiming to destroy whoever gets in their way.

The state of Georgia – with its beautiful scenery, historic buildings, and southern charm – has long made it a popular location for filming television and movie productions.

The state has also offered tax breaks to the entertainment industry, helping both the state economy and the bottom line of production companies.

But since Governor Brian Kemp signed the Living Infants Fairness and Equality Act – aka “the heartbeat law” – Hollywood elites and left-wing industry insiders are throwing a fit.

As the heartbeat bill was headed to the governor’s desk, dozens of celebrities petitioned him not to sign off on it.

Of course, Kemp would not be swayed, and the law is set to take effect on January 1st of next year.

When these progressive industry figureheads didn’t get their way, the threatening and bullying began as it so often does.

Several companies pulled scheduled production from the state.  Left-aligned corporations like Amazon and Coca-Cola publicly denounced the legislation.

Netflix, the producer of so many far-left programs is “rethinking its investment” in Georgia.

Netflix chief executive Ted Sarandos stated, “We have many women working on productions in Georgia, whose rights, along with millions of others, will be severely restricted by this law. Given the legislation has not yet been implemented, we’ll continue to film there, while also supporting partners and artists who choose not to. Should it ever come into effect, we’d rethink our entire investment in Georgia,” according to CNBC.

And several celebrities said, “we’ll never work in this town again,” demanding that women in the industry must work in a “safe” environment.

“Safe,” as in being able to get an abortion whenever they feel like it.

It’s the same old argument:  abortion is a matter of women’s “rights,” not the right of a child to live.  Even when there are exemptions for rape and incest, as there are in the Georgia law, progressives react that there are any limitations at all.

Because it’s not rape and incest they’re concerned with – it’s a free-for-all of access to abortion-on-demand so that they’re not “inconvenienced” by an unplanned pregnancy.

Not surprisingly, one of the most progressive entertainment companies in the world is also thinking about pulling the plug in Georgia – Disney.

Disney CEO Bob Iger said it would be “very difficult” for the company to continue filming in Georgia once the law takes effect.

“I think many people who work for us will not want to work there, and we will have to heed their wishes in that regard,” according to Life News.

We have to stop and think about this for a moment.  Is this really where our society is headed – that companies will boycott states in which their female staff members can’t get an immediate abortion while on location?

It is sickening.  It’s also the reason why so many states are working to protect the unborn.  The Roe v. Wade decision started a very dark chapter for America, but it’s now worse than ever.

Progressives will never consider an unborn baby a human being who is guaranteed rights.

It is just an “inconvenience” to rid themselves of – something they look on as a freedom.

Disney, for so many of us, once a beacon of childhood innocence through their characters, parks, and films, is no longer for families.  They’ve embraced the LGBT community, even targeting children with their agenda in both products and content.

They now appear to be making their journey from traditional family fare to blatant propaganda complete by supporting unrestricted abortion.

When did an innocent child become a disposable item?  And how dare a company like Disney that claims to create family entertainment threaten to boycott a state that protects the very core of their target audience – children?

Georgia’s heartbeat bill is all about protecting women.  Protection from the life-long trauma that abortion causes the mother.  Protection for innocent girls to have the chance to grow into women one day.

It also allows for other legal assistance for pregnant moms, including the ability to claim unborn babies as tax dependents and allowing mothers to collect child support for prenatal care and hospital delivery costs.

It really is impossible for us to see how the entertainment industry thinks rampant, legal murder of the unborn in the name of selfishness and convenience provides a “safe” environment for women.

They have no concern for the tragic impact that abortion has on women, not to mention that it ends the life of a child – an actual God-given right.  Georgia’s economy will suffer due to the loss of jobs and boost to the economy that the entertainment industry provides.

For now, the law is set to go into effect next year, but radical progressive organizations like the ACLU are dragging the state through legal loopholes trying to prevent that from occurring.

Stand strong, Georgia.  We’re with you.  We thank you for fighting for the unborn and the real needs of women.

Perhaps all Americans should boycott the entertainment and retail companies that say they will boycott Georgia.  Then let’s see who takes the financial hit.

What do you think of Disney threatening to boycott Georgia because of their abortion laws when their target audience is children?  Leave us your thoughts.
