Selfies in and of themselves are not dangerous, it is when they become an obsession that they can have fatal consequences.
Check your environment before posing for the selfie. Do not reposition while staring at yourself in a screen.
If those who were into taking selfies used common sense to guide all their shots, we would not have an issue where awareness of deaths during selfies needs to be addressed.
