“Nearly one in five cosmetic products contains a substance that generates formaldehyde, which is linked to causing cancer.”
Fragrance is added to everything from children’s bubble bath to foundation powders and can have up to hundreds of individual chemicals that are not required to be listed on the label.
Web MD reported:
“Parabens have been found to spur the growth of certain types of breast cancer cells. And they appear to be able to do this even in tiny amounts.”
Parabens are in many body washes, lotions, and makeup products.
The last chemical I will mention, although it is far from the least dangerous ingredient being slipped into consumer beauty products, is Oxybenzone.
Daily Mail reported:
“Oxybenzone has been increasingly linked to early puberty in girls, low sperm count and male infertility, and an increase in hormone-related cancers in men and women.”
This ingredient is commonly found in lip balms, sunscreen, and many products that contain SPF. Do not kiss your children with lips full of chemicals that could affectyour grandchildren!
