- Don’t shy away from political ads
It’s easy to want to shield our children from the hateful campaign ads on tv and the flyers we throw in the recycling bin when we get the mail.
But if we shield our children from all of it or all they hear is our complaining, what message are we sending them?
Take a minute to talk to your children about voting and how campaigns work before dumping that flyer in the bin. Let them hold it and ask questions.
In our age of technology, one can even pause the tv to discuss an ad that popped up during a football game or family movie night. Let your kids ask questions.
