New York Post reported:
“A man was mauled to death by a wounded bear this week when he foolishly tried to take a photograph alongside the apex predator — the third wild animal-related selfie fatality in this region of India in less than a year, according to reports.”
On the way home from a wedding, Prabhu Bhatara pulled over to take a bathroom break and spotted a bear he thought to be wounded.
For some unknown reason beyond any logical explanation, seeing this bear sparked the idea to get a selfie with it.
As one might have expected, when the man got close, the bear attacked him killing him on the spot, according to the New York Post.
It goes without saying; you should not get close to dangerous wild animals for any reason, even if it’s to take a picture that will impress your friends.
The other two selfie deaths in India this year were both by individuals trying to take a picture with an elephant.
