For decades, Americans have slaughtered their babies at abortion facilities under the protection of the Constitution – but today their “right” to kill their own babies has ended.
In a landmark 6-3 Supreme Court decision – Roe v. Wade has finally been overturned – outlawing abortion at the federal level.
While the battle for life now continues on to the states – today is a MASSIVE and emotional victory for the entire pro-life movement – and most importantly for unborn babies – here is everything you need to know.
For 50 years, liberals have argued that a Supreme Court precedent gave them the right to slay unborn babies.
As a result, more than 63 million babies lost their lives.
Ironically, the original plaintiff in the original 1973 Supreme Court Case, Norma McCorvey, otherwise known as “Jane Roe” later became pro-life and tried to challenge the original ruling – but was denied.
The New York Post reported.
“She ended up founding her own anti-abortion group, Roe No More Ministry, in 1997 and traveling the country speaking out against the procedure. In 2005, McCorvey tried to challenge her 1973 Roe ruling — but it was rejected by the Supreme Court.”
But now – after 50 years of blood and tears – women no longer have the constitutional “right” to kill their babies.
States now have the rights to decide if abortion is illegal or not.
Violent pro-abort groups like Jane’s Revenge have already threatened to attack pro-life pregnancy centers (and even pro-lifers) due to their hatred of unborn babies once Roe v. Wade is overturned.
Radical leftists simply cannot stand the fact that they can’t kill babies like they once could – and they are responding with pure hate and extreme violence.
But instead of calling out the rabid pro-abortion activists and denouncing violence – Biden used his airtime to speak his disapproval of Roe v. Wade being overturned – and further added fuel to the fire claiming women’s health is now in danger.
NPR reported:
“The health and life of women of our nation are now at risk,” Biden said. “Make no mistake. This decision is the culmination of a deliberate effort over decades to upset the balance of our law.”
As a result of Roe v. Wade being overturned, “trigger laws” have already started in some states – making abortion illegal.
Right after the Roe v. Wade ruling, Missouri’s trigger law was enacted – banning abortion.
Newsweek reported:
“Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt issued an opinion that would trigger parts of a state House bill that outlaws almost all abortions in the state, with no exceptions for rape or incest.
“With this attorney general opinion, my Office has effectively ended abortion in Missouri, becoming the first state in the country to do so following the court’s ruling,” Schmitt said in a press release.”
According to the Guttmacher Institute, 26 states will quickly move to ban or limit abortion – with 13 states having “trigger laws” that have already or will soon go into effect now that Roe v. Wade is overturned.
These states include: Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.
There is still much more work to be done at the state level – as pro-abort states like New York and California will likely become abortion sanctuaries.
But at least for now – we can rejoice in the victory that Roe v. Wade is FINALLY overturned in our lifetime – and unborn babies will be saved.
