This Thanksgiving Day, it would be remiss if we didn’t also show gratitude toward the settlers who had to endure hardships in order to bring us to the freedom we have today.
A simple art project and story about the first Thanksgiving in the New World will have kids beginning to think about how different America was, and all we have to be grateful for.
As Parents suggest, “Kids can also imagine what the Pilgrims might appreciate in your house today. They might enjoy good food and the time with family, as well as modern conveniences like heat and hot water.”
