Cultivate Thankfulness In Your Children With These Fun Family Acts

  1. Journal gratitude

Writing down the things we have to be thankful for will not only teach our children to be more thankful little humans but can end materialism (just in time for the holidays), as Mommy Underground has previously reported.

Have your child handwrite on a piece of notepaper or in a journal, ten things they are grateful for in their life. Ask if they want to share what they wrote when they are done, but don’t push it.

Emphasize that the things they are thankful for does not have to be material items, but that they can be grateful for people that have contributed to their life in a positive way.
