Heartwarming: Abandoned Baby With Special Needs Receives A New Home Full Of Love

A 10-day old baby with special needs was abandoned and left to die alone…

… she wasn’t even given a name.

And once Addisyn learned this beautiful 10-day old baby had no home or even anyone to care for her, she knew she had to do something.

Stepping out in faith, Addisyn acted in a way that stunned the world and gave her the chance to share her faith in the mot incredible way.

Not only did Addisyn vow to care for this baby, she actually went to the judge and sought to adopt this little girl as her own.

Everyone kept telling her the little girl would die and there was no point, but still she persisted.

Love What Matters reported:

“I soon learned that this baby girl had a diagnosis called Hydranencephaly. In other words, she only had about 3% of her brain. Days passed filled with MRI’s and hospital visits, until one day I stood before the judge in the courthouse, asking if I could adopt her and give her a name.

‘Her own family didn’t even want her,’ the judge told me solemnly, ‘She’s probably not going to live, and even if she does, she’ll never have a normal life. So why would you even bother? Why do you care so much?’

I looked right back at her and I told her I cared because her life matters, and the value of our life isn’t decided by the number of our days.”

Addisyn named her little girl Emma, which means whole and complete.

She cared for Emma and gave her a loving home, all the way until little Emma passed into the arms of Jesus.

As sad as it was Emma didn’t make it, Addisyn found peace that Emma didn’t have to die alone, and she was given a loving family.

Deciding right then and there no child with a terminally ill diagnosis should ever have to die alone, she founded Into His Arms.

Addisyn and her husband take in kids nobody else seems to want, the ones that get abandoned because they are “too hard to care for.”

The ones that everyone else views as a “lost cause”.

Sometimes the children Addisyn and her husband care for go on to heal and live vibrant lives.

Other times they don’t make it, but they are loved until they take their very last breath.

Addisyn’s heart to serve those society rejects is a beautiful reminder of what it means to live out the love of Christ.

Every life matters to God, and every life should matter to us.

Just because a child is diagnosed with a special need, or given a slim chance at living, it doesn’t mean they don’t deserve the dignity to be loved and cared for.

So many moms have fought back against radical doctors who have encouraged them to abort their babies because they’d be born with special needs.

Other families around the world have adopted children with special needs when nobody else wanted them.

As for Addisyn, may God continue to bless her and her family as they do their part to make sure abandoned babies with special needs are welcomed into the loving arms of a safe home.

Some people talk about love – but Addisyn is living it!

Godspeed.
