Unborn babies are in for the fight of their lives – especially when politicians continue to disregard their dignity and rights.
Colorado Governor Jared Polis recently signed a bill into law – enshrining abortion into the state constitution and allowing abortion up until birth.
And if you’re wondering how this was allowed – the answer will break your heart.
To put it simply, politicians in Colorado don’t believe an unborn baby has any rights.
Even though this baby has its own unique body… and heartbeat… and brain – politicians in Colorado brutally think the unborn baby can be slayed whenever the mother wants.
Christian Headlines reported:
“The new law, dubbed the “Reproductive Health Equity Act” by supporters, calls abortion a “fundamental right” and says governments shall not “deny, restrict, interfere with, or discriminate against” an individual’s decision to “have an abortion.”
“A fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus does not have independent or derivative rights under the laws of this state,” the new law says.
Heartbreaking!
Babies have no ability to yet advocate or fight for themselves – and instead of fiercely protecting their right to live and be born – Colorado politicians dismiss them.
We truly live in a world where animal rights are advocated for more than the life of a precious baby.
But abortion advocates are in a frenzy trying to pass as much abortion legislation as they can in anticipation of what the Supreme Court will do with Roe v. Wade.
In California, minors can now get an abortion without parental consent.
Other states are going so far as to introduce bills with vague language actually legalizing infanticide.
And now that radical pro-abort advocate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has been confirmed to the Supreme Court – her record shows she will be an enemy to life.
The Colorado bill is a scary reminder that shows just how far abortion advocates are willing to go in order to have the “right” to murder babies.
Lila Rose, founder of Live Action spoke about the dangers of the bill – and how it could force doctors to participate in abortions.
Christian Headlines continued:
“Besides the all-out war against children in-utero, because it defines abortion as a right, the law could also be used to attempt to force medical professionals to commit or participate in abortions,” Rose said. “There are zero conscience protections in the law.”
We can expect to see more radical abortion legislation in the days to come.
In fact, Biden even threatened his pro-abort administration “won’t stand” for pro-life bills – so continued volatile pushback from his office is expected.
Thankfully there are pro-life states like Florida and Texas who continue to pass life-saving legislation – but more states need to step up!
